Jûbako Bento Lunch box 3-tier (sandanjû) - Gold and silver leafs
A serving box and a stunning decorative item. Traditionally Jûbako are new-year stacking lunch boxes, but it can as easily be use as a bento lunchbox, for decoration or - why not - for storing cherished small items.
This tiered serving box is decorated with traditional Japanese gold leafs (Kinpaku) and silver leafs (Ginpaku), 0,0001 to 0,0005 mm thick. Kinpaku golden leafs are an alloy of gold, silver, and copper
Of course this bento lunch box is manufactured at Kanazawa, the Japanese center for the golden leafs production. More than 90% of golden leafs are produced there.
Size: about 14.8 x 14.8 x 14.5 cm
The box is divided into 3 compartments of 720ml each for a total capacity of 2.16l.
It comes with a furoshiki to carry and protect it. This furoshiki features Nô masks prints, and is a JaponMania exclusivity, swan by us.
Bento box materials:
- Outside cover with gold and silver leafs, and urethane based paint imitating lacquered wood .
- Box cover-top and compartments made of phenol resin.
Caution:
- Do not put in a microwaves, dish-washer or oven.
- Do no put into water for a prolonged time.
- Do not wash with abrasive sponges or powder.
- To avoid discoloration, do not expose to direct sunlight for a prolonged time.
